Ruby Jones, President U.S. Programs

Ruby Jones leads Jones Global Foundation’s {JGF} efforts to advance educational opportunity and student achievement in the United States to ensure that all students and particularly low income students and minority students receive fair and equal high-quality education that leads to success during college and throughout their careers.

 

Ruby has dedicated her life to God, to the betterment of her community and our nation as a whole. She is the Founder of Jones Global Foundation, along with her daughter Veronica, which officially started in May 2018.

​

From the very beginning Ruby has felt a deep connection to the JGF, U.S. Programs work, which spans early learning, Pre-school Education, K -12, and postsecondary. She began serving immediately as U.S. Programs President for the Foundation in May 2018.

Ruby shapes and approves the foundation’s strategies, reviews results, advocates for program initiatives and sets the overall direction of the organization.

Ruby believes education provides a bridge to opportunity unlike any other in America, and she is committed to ensuring all young people have the education and opportunity they deserve. includes a deep focus on equity in education and using data to get better outcomes for students of all backgrounds. Ruby and Veronica work together to expand opportunities to the world's disadvantaged families, by collaborating with JGF donors/sponsors.

This dynamic mother and daughter team also participates in national and international events and travel extensively to focus attention on the initiative's the foundation champions.

Ruby is an alumnae of Fayetteville Technical Community College and Fayetteville State University, and she successfully received her Education degree, in Early Childhood Education. Ruby understands the importance of higher academic advancement. Ruby has received numerous  Education credentials from the National Association for the Education of Young Children.  She also received in service training and obtained her CDA from the {NAEYC organization}.

 

She is originally from the great state of Kentucky, immediately after graduating from high school, she moved to Europe and lived in Germany for several years. Upon returning to the United States, she became a homeowner in the great state of North Carolina, and started her successful career as an Educator. Ruby has worked in the Education field for 45 plus years {working with youth, parents, organizations, and community leaders} before becoming the Founder and President of US Programs for Jones Global Foundation.

 

Ruby successfully completed a career as a Teacher, working for the Department of Defense, Child and Youth Services Division {CYSS Division}. She enjoyed teaching for CYS, as their organization works collaboratively with other Departments of defense educational divisions, and holds  partnerships with state and community agencies,  to assure the best  education in areas of {social, emotional, physical and academic development} for military children and youngest learners.

 

The Department of Defense, {CYSS Division} also provides leadership, family resources, and professional development to provide high, quality, educational curricula. Ruby served for 28 years, teaching for Department of Defense- Child Youth and School Services. She retired as a Civil Service Lead Teacher, and received several awards, along with the highest performance ratings during her teaching career. After retiring from Teaching on Fort Bragg, NC. Ruby obtained a major contract with T.H.I.N.K and Associates, as a Parenting Consultant. Ruby enjoyed teaching for the ChildCare Network School System {Part-Time after retirement}. Ms. Jones now enjoys her position as the Founder and President of US Programs for Jones Global Foundation

 

Ruby continues her successful Entrepreneurship business as a Parenting Consultant, providing services to several Educational organizations, non-profits, Private Schools, Churches/Faith based organizations  and Family Social Service organizations. Ruby's professional background is in: Education, Parent Consulting , Mentorship, Family OutReach and Community Development. Ruby is a professional  Writer and Author.

Her first children book is scheduled to be released in the year 2021. Ruby performs special event activities for children at the request of parents throughout the community she is known as; “Ruby The Teaching Lady Bug”.

 

Ruby Jones is a life term Educational Advocate {for fair and equal education for all children and adults} She is also a Childerns Advocate {Prevention of Child Neglect/Child Abuse}. She has served on a number of regional and national organizations, Advisory Boards. Ruby is a Former Advisory Board member for: March of Dimes NC, Multiple Sclerosis NC,  Cumberland County Business Advisory Board, Womens Heart Association Fort Bragg, NC,Girl Scouts of America Leader/Coordinator Fort Bragg, Cheerleading and Soccer Coach {DYA-Fort Bragg, NC},  B.U.I.L.D. Council NC {Advisory Board} Chamber of Commerce {Women's Business Advisory Committee}.

​

Currently Ruby serves on the following Advisory Boards and enjoys memberships with the following organizations:  National Association for the Education of Young Children {NAEYC}, Member of { AFL-CIO}, NAACP { Religious Affairs Committee, and Education Committee}, NAMI { MH Policy/Advocacy Teacher Certified}, Church Women United {Advisory Board}, Girls Are Worthy { Advisory Board}, NC BWRT  General Baptist Association, BeautySpot Missionary Baptist Church { member} JGF/Ambassadors { Board of Trustees}.
