Jones Global Foundation awards scholarships to deserving youth and adults, pursuing a degree in the following areas; HealthCare/ Medical Degrees. Health & Wellness/Nutrition  degrees. Education/Teachers Degrees.

How to Apply ?

If you are interested in applying for any of the Jones Global Foundation listed  scholarships, you must send a email inquiry to the following email: staff@jonesglobalfoundation.org

Please briefly state which scholarships you are interested in before the due date and our Scholarship team will  email you a scholarship application.

​

Real Estate/Broker Academy and Cosmetology Degrees.

{for residences in the following states only; North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia}.

 

The Jones Global Foundation Civil Rights/Social Justice scholarships and our Environmental Justice/Environmental Science Scholarships

{available to all United States residence and Global students studying abroad}

         

All Jones Global Foundation scholarships awarded can be used for undergraduate and graduate programs as well as trade or technical programs, {provided they  are accredited educational institution}.

​

Applicants must use the scholarship fund in the year it is awarded and can reapply if additional support is needed two years after the first scholarship awarded.

Rosalee Hardy-Trice “Love My Heart/HealthAwareness Scholarship”

 

Scholarship Description/Criteria:

The purpose of the Rosalee Hardy-Trice “Love My Heart” Health Awareness Scholarship {LMHAS} is to support and encourage the continuation of education to all individuals and families “affected” by congenital heart defects (CHDS).

 

Eligible applicants must : be diagnosed with a congenital heart defect or the recipient of a heart transplant or be a family member (sibling child , parent) of a person diagnosed with a CHD; be resident of North Carolina

 

South Carolina, or Georgia; be a high school senior or enrolled college student with a GPA 2.5 or higher , and be accepted full or part time at an accredited 2 or 4 year college, university ,or technical school located in the United States ; and not have been awarded the Love My Heart Awareness CHD Scholarship in the last two years.

 

There are 2 deadline application dates:

The first deadline application must be received by to be awarded during the month of February 4TH 2022, {exact date to be announced}.

 

The second deadline application for the (LMHA) Scholarship application  click on application.

 

Gina Moaney-McGee “ Wear Your Crown”Memorial Scholarship

​

Scholarship Descriptions/Criteria:

The Jones Global Foundation established the Gina Moaney Mcgee MemorialScholarship { GMMS} to support the financial needs of a college student who has lost a parent to cancer or has a parent with cancer who displays financial need.

​

This scholarship is also for individual students that are cancer survivors themselves ages 18 years old to 40 years old.

​

The “ Wear Your Crown GMMS scholarship” is offered to individuals residing in the following states only: North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.

​

Applicants must be be pursuing a Degree in Business Administration, or seeking a Diploma/Licenses in Real Estate Agent/Real Estate Broker

​

The deadline to submit the application is 1st of October 2022 to receive awards in November 2022.

Charlean MCDougal “New Beginnings” Memorial Scholarship

​

Scholarship Description/Criteria:

Jones Global Foundation, established the Charlean McDougal New Beginnings Scholarship to recruit students in 10th grade thru 12 grades whose socio-economic backgrounds and environmental conditions may inhibit their ability to attain educational goals.

​

The students that are selected for this program must have overcome major adversity in their lives {i.e., physical, emotional, or mental abuse, catastrophic illness, etc}. Obstacles may be mental, physical, geographic or societal.

Eligible applicants must reside in one of the following states; North Carolina, South Carolina, or Georgia.

 

Applicants must be a United States citizen or non-citizen eligible under Title IV regulations; be in compliance with selective service registration; not be in default of any loans; demonstrate difficult personal circumstances , high financial need, and strong academic promise to continue education beyond the secondary level; have a 2.5 GPA; and plan on  attending a college /university in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

Gwen Fritz Nursing Memorial Scholarship

 

Scholarship Description/Criteria:

The Gwendolyn Fritz Nursing Memorial Scholarship was established by the Jones Global Foundation  in memory of medical professional Gwendolyn Fritz .This scholarship provides funds for applicants pursuing a degree in nursing.

​

Preference will be given to employees and their immediate family members  that work at the following hospitals { Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Womack Army Medical Center, Military hospital in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and First Health of the Carolinas Health Systems and their immediate families who reside in North Carolina.

 

The deadline date to submit your application is September 1st 2022, this scholarship will be awarded in October 2022.

Dena Beaty HealthCare Memorial Scholarship

 

Scholarship Description/Criteria:

The Dena C. Beaty Physician  Assistant Memorial Scholarship was established by The Jones Global Foundation in memory of PhysicianAssistant Dena C. Beaty . This scholarship provides funds for applicants pursuing a degree in nursing and other medical related fields.

 

Preference will be given to applicants who reside in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.

The deadline date to submit your application is September 1st 2022, this scholarship will be awarded in October 2022.

John Hart “Life is A Stage” Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Description/Criteria:

The John Hart Life's A  Stage Memorial Scholarship was established by The Jones Global Foundation in memory of John Hart.

 

Mr. JOHN Hart was a writer,Producer,Director and owner of the successful John Hart Van Guard School of Performing Arts and Theater LLC.(Locations in California and North Carolina)

​

This scholarship is intended for creative actresses, actors, and entertainers  who plan to use skills learned  through theatre in a career focused on performing arts or business entertainment.  Two High School scholarships will be awarded annually. You must be a high school student attending school in Ventura California School System or Cumberland County School System in North Carolina.The student must be a junior or senior in High School to receive the scholarship award.

he deadline date for submitting this application is April 29 2022. This scholarship will be awarded in May 2022.

 

 

Jones Global Foundation Family Honorary  Scholarship { Social Justice}

Scholarship Description/Criteria:

The Jones Global Foundation Family Scholarship {JGFFS} was established by the Jones Global Foundation advisory board members to honor the Jones Family values, beliefs and community outreach efforts regarding Social Justice.

 

Jones Global Foundation will continue providing educational programs, scholarships and awareness events to help decrease poverty , disease and inequity in the United States of America and around the globe.

 This honorary Social Justice  scholarship provides need -based grants for peace and social  justice.

​

The awards can be used for undergraduate and graduate programs.

 

Over the long history of this award its recipients have fought for civil rights ,world peace, economic justice, anti-imperialist solidarity, and against racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination. Applicants must use the funds in the year awarded .

 

Recipients  can receive this scholarship one time only.

 

Students must be living in the United States and strong preference is given to applicants who plan to work in the United States, in Social Justice fields, however U.S. Citizenship is not required.

 

The deadline date for submitting this application is January 21 2022.

The scholarship will be awarded in February 2022.

 

 

Ruby Jones Honorary Education Teachers Scholarship 

 

Scholarship Description/Criteria:

The Ruby Jones honorary Education Teachers Scholarship was suggested by the Jones Global Foundation Ambassadors and established by the Jones Global Foundation Advisory board members. This scholarship was designed to honor Ruby’s 46 plus years of educational service and dedication to her continuous advocacy for equality for all students.

​

Ruby continues to teach, serve and advocate for equity education for all students as she provides wisdom and leadership as the Co-Founder and President of US Educational Programs for Jones Global Foundation.

Eligibility:  Open to students 18 and older who have already obtained an associates degree or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university degree in; {Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development Degree or a Speciality Education Degree}. 

​

Eligibility: Students must be enrolled and continuing their education at an accredited college/university,  You must have a 3.0 or above average.

​

All applicants are required to include with application a 3-5 minute video selecting one of the three topics:

(1) Why I became an educator and how teaching has had a positive impact on my  life.

(2) Share one life changing experience that has occurred to you while being an educator

(3) Share the one most important lesson that you want every student you teach to learn from you and why?

​

This degree is awarded to help provide assistance  to current teachers and assistant teachers, to help support their next level educational growth with a higher degree in education.

​

The deadline date to submit this application is April 18th 2022 this scholarship will be awarded in May 2022.

You must be a resident of one of the following states to qualify: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Texas, Louisiana Kentucky,Tennessee, Ohio or Indiana.

Veronica Jones Honorary Mental Health Scholarships

 

Scholarship Description/Criteria:

The Veronica Jones Honorary Mental Health Scholarship was suggested by  the Jones GlobalFoundation {JGF}  Ambassadors and established by the Jones Global Foundation Advisory Board members. This scholarship was created to honor Veronica’s 35 plus years of service and experience in the Family Services and Mental Health field. The JGF organization values and appreciates  Veronica's continuous advocacy and teaching awareness to de-stigmatize the negative stereotypes about mental illness, and towards individuals that live with a mental health diagnosis daily.

 

Four Different Mental Health Scholarships will be awarded.

Two scholarships will be awarded in May 2022 Deadline for Application is March 30th, 2022.

Two Scholarships will be awarded in October 2022.

The Application deadline for October Mental Health Scholarships deadline date is: August 26th, 2022.

 

Eligibility:

High School College bound students, who plan to major in Psychology, Social Work or Counseling Degrees. You must be a Junior or Senior in High School with  proof of acceptance letter from an accredited college/University.

​

Along with your application all applicants must have a 2.5 GPA or above. Along with your application all applicants  must submit 4-6 minute videos. You must select and make your photo about one of the four topics:

  1. Video Topic- What I think About Mental Health and how I plan to make positive changes regarding mental Health?

  2. Video Topic- Your thoughts about Depression/and Teen Suicide. Share a personal experience about Depression or Suicide that has impacted your personal life.

  3. First or second generation immigrants make a video about your experience as immigrants and your challenges with mental health. {If you qualify and select this video option}.

  4. Any Student ages 17 and older in High School { Juniors/Seniors or an accredited college/University} Applicants can make a 3-6 minute video sharing a mental health experience/challenge with mental health you, or a loved one has struggled with and share positive tools utilized to cope with mental health daily.
